Canada is one of the world top exporters of minerals. 80% of the mineral production in Canada is exported, which contributes to the Canadian economy. Canada is the worlds leader in the mining of uranium and potash. Canada is also ranked in the top five for: Nickel, Lead, Aluminum, gold, zinc, copper, gypsum, molybdenum, platinum, salt, cadmium, titanium, and asbestos. For Canada, energy is also one of their biggest, and most important resources. In 1999, Canada produced 11.3 billion barrels of crude oil.
